Located inside Bal Harbour this is a simple, relaxed place to pick up a mag or paper and enjoy a small meal or quick snack. I recently stopped by with a friend and had hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was foamy and delicious and came with a small glass of ice water. The menu had lots of small items, baked goods, hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, and coffees. The prices were fine, so if you're strolling around Bal Harbour this might be the quickest and most wallet friendly stop.

If you are at Bal Harbour depressed because you can't afford anything because you are lucky you can afford the gas it requires to GET to Bal Harbour AND...you don't want to spend a fortune on a quick bite then THIS is the ONLY option. I came to Bal Harbor shops with my mom who was visiting from Long Island. We came here for lunch. She had a panini and I had the crab cakes. I'm a crab cake snob took a chance and was happy with my meal. The crab cakes were moist and tasty and they served 2, hockey puck sized cakes with a mixed greens salad on the side. It was a perfect portion for lunch. It made me forget about the $2200 Gucci bag I fell in lust with. Service is good, location is nice, total bill for two people under $40.

What a great greasy dive for such a fierce upscale zip-code. BEST PEOPLE WATCHING! Better then the other fine dinning places that face a parking lot. Unless you are into taxi drivers. Panini and cortaditos reign supreme.

I was meeting with a friend at Bal Harbour and we decided to get lunch here. I ordered a salad and my friend ordered chicken nuggets. My salad was decent (an ordinary salad), but my friend's chicken nuggets looked like the frozen ones you buy at the supermarket. I did not think the service was very good - and the quality of the food did not fit the (high) price - but it is Bal Harbour.

My go-to café stop. Ask for Bella! She is the sweetest waitress and will wait on you hand and foot with a genuine attitude. The coffee is great and never disappoints. Try out their empanadas too.

I guess it's ok if you are on a hurry. The servers are very nice. Acceptable quality. Nothing fancy.

My wife and I had green juices and the club sandwich. No big deal, just a 'quick' lunch, right? Our total came out to $70. Foods average at best and severely overpriced.

This is the only place I've found to get coffee to go at Bal Harbour Shops. Usually I go here before a haircut or bang trim. Just a disclaimer, I've only ordered the iced latte and haven't tried anything else yet. So I can't really say how the rest of the drinks are or the food, but I can say the iced latte is good and has been consistent tasting every time I've ordered it. There has never been a time where I thought "oh this is awful" or "this is not made properly." So in my book, that gives them huge bonus points. Service is always quick and I've found the employees to be friendly at the cashier's register. At some point in time I do plan on trying a different drink and actually ordering some food.

this is the worst place to eat. for two months on a daily basis i have ordered the same dish and they gave me the wrong order everytime. i asked to speak to a manager and was assured that will never happen again. the next day they again got my order wrong. in addition my friend was given a steak burned and extra well done when he had asked that it be medium rare. managment was very rude. the only thing the owner had to say was that he didnt understand why this keeps happening to - my order- as if it was my fault??? the owner was very rude and implied that it was my fault they kept getting my order wrong every day. i dont recommend this establishment to anyone. in addition both times i ordered the spinach empanadas i was given them frozen cold on the inside. very poor managment and attitude. i urge anyone looking for decent service and good food to go elsewhere as you will be highly let down- everytime. . i don't believe they deserve one star but i am not able to post a review without at least choosing one star.

This review is coming from someone touring Miami from San Francisco. The place is nice and clean and well-run. You wouldn't really expect anything less from a mall that has their own police and rows upon rows of Bentleys parked in valet with a dedicated security team. There is not a single shop in the mall I could or would actually buy something from since I make less than 200k/year, poor me. But coffee, hey, I can afford coffee, cool, or hot. So I went for an ice coffee at 3.50, not bad. Well, it wasn't a very good ice coffee. I like Starbucks better but this is more about being in the mall and snooty-people watching and not so much the coffee. And the $3.50 coffee sure beat the $14.95 Hot Pastrami, ouch. The only knock I had on the place was the seating policy. I ordered inside which is apparently only for "to-go". I stepped outside the store and tried to sit at a table and was immediately stopped by a very polite young lady who explained that I'd have to order from the table to drink at the table, hmmm. This is true even though it's the same business. Go figure. I learned something. That's what being a tourist is all about. Fortunately, I was able to sit inside and drink but the people watching isn't as good there. After you get your coffee-high, do check out the store Agent Provocateur on the top floor down by Sak's 5th. It's a cool store if you're into classy and sexy.

Sandwiches are pretty good and if you sit outside it is nice but it is definitely overpriced for what you get (but that comes with where it is located). I had the tuna on pita and enjoyed it but nothing set it apart from any other sandwich from any other place.

Had the Super Club and a Coke. I've had a better club sandwich at Cheesecake Factory. Service was meh. I felt like I was having lunch at a convalescent home. This place attracts them.

Great service. The waitress was super sweet and asked me how I like my coffee and was super accommodating. Great food for like a light bite and great cappuccino. A little pricey hence 4 star.

Had my first Colada here - Cuban Coffee. It wasn't really anything special, since cuban coffee had nothing to do with the coffee bean it self. Supposedly it contains 2 shots of espresso, sugar and something else. It's just the way it is made that makes it a special cuban coffee. Clean little airport looking espresso, grab and go spot. Def recommend the Colada! When I asked about paid parking, the cashier offered to stamp my parking ticket so it will be discounted. I believe I saved $10 FTW!

Horrible service, stale-ish food, no seating allowed even though their tables were open with no one waiting for them.

The terrible reviews are really surprising. I am a foodie. I eat out at the best restaurants. I was really impressed with this restaurant. We had at least 3 people looking after us, got a lovely seat overlooking the gardens below and had a really good, fresh meal. I had the chicken salad and my companion had another type of salad to which she added shrimp. We were both impressed for the quality at the price for lunch. And if you eat lunch and get your parking validated it is substantially cheaper to park. I would definitely return.

Santa Fe, located on the second floor of the Bal Harbour Shops, is a contemporary breakfast/sandwicherie that caters to Bal Harbour's nouveau riche. For anyone who lives, or is visiting the village, it's a much that you check them out. They claim to have the "best coffee in Bal Harbour", a claim that comes with much confidence, considering Bal Harbour is only 0.6 square miles of land. In any case, they're open as early as 8 am on weekdays, just two hours before the mall opens. Besides international coffees, there's newspapers, magazines, pastries, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, etc. This is more of a breakfast spot, so I wouldn't recommend going here for brunch, especially with all the other available options (see Segafredos). The only downside were the prices, but that's a given in such an affluent spot. If you find yourself at the Bal Harbour Shops during the morning hours, check them out, it's a charming little spot.

How can you possibly think this has more than one star??!! Have you lost your mind or were you really THAT hungry that this awefull imposer of a cheap and casual sandwich shop brought you satisfaction??!! Santa Fe is neither cheap nor good, but especially NOT cheap. It does not serve fresh food but on the contrary, its pastries baked goods linger on glass counters for days before being reheated in a microwave to be served nice and chewy for your apperently not so distinguished palette. But how does this evil con joint seem to fool every single person that walks in??? Because it appears to be cheap....it monoplizes the appearance of cheap in this waaay to upscale mall... but just when you've finished ordering your 'Cafe con Leche' and 'Cuban Toast' thinking you were going to get the best deal in the shops, you then feel the sharp stab of an $8 bill and you regretfully remember that aweful feeling of getting trully f&^*% over. $3.99 for a cuban toast in Miami?.... Are you kidding? What? Is it imported?? You've probably come across to think that the "Fancy" restaurants downstairs look wayyy to expensive, but let me tell you that if you think a microwaved croissant egg sandwich for $13.59 can compare to an authentic Croque Madame for $14 at La Goulue Bistro you're completely out of your mind. Please do me a favor and never stop here because you will be fooled and disappointed. There is no reason to support places like these so if you need to get a cup of coffee, please go to Books and Books and get a better one for the same price.

I had lunch here one day when I was in the area browsing the Bal Harbour Shops as well as looking for something to eat. I just dropped in to see what the options were and had the intention of continuing to walk around the shopping area to see what else might appeal to me. I thought I conveyed that to the waitress, but before I knew it, I was being seated and thought to myself, "Okay, I guess I'm having lunch here today.". The cafe is not very large. There was a larger restaurant across from the cafe with the word "Santa Fe" in it as well that I guess was their main restaurant. As you enter the cafe, you first see the cashier to the left. From there, you may select something to go along with a dessert. If you prefer, you may be seated by one of the waiters or waitresses in a very small, but comfortable dining area. It probably only seats 15 in total. It kinda looked like everyone surrounding me were people who worked at the Bal Harbour Shops who were on their lunch break. Anyway, I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes for our order to be served. I actually don't recall exactly which hot sandwich I had, but I remember enjoying it. You can select which type of bread to have it with. I selected whole wheat. It was pretty simple, but I'm use to having cold sandwiches. I think having it warm made it much better. My side was a salad. The individual I was with that day had the Bal Harbour Burger (in ground turkey), which I'm told was really good. You have the option of selecting either beef or ground turkey for the burger and can select how to have it done (i.e. medium-rare, well-done, etc. In addition, the burger was served with fries. I thought the menu selection was very wide. I thought what I paid for was a little steep considering I just had a sandwich, but the Bal Harbour Shops is a very high-end shopping center. Our server was really welcoming. I would suggest going here for either quick or casual dining.

Horrible bad service. Teh waiters bump into you without saying excuse me. The waiters are all on crack. Watch out for David Ospina. he steals the customers CC numbers.

This review is gonna be tricky. As someone who works at the Bal Harbour Shops I am forced to stop in at Santa Fe News almost daily since they are the closest thing we have to a "convenience store". Pros: its a "convenience store" with added perks of also offering a full menu of pretty decent food. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area, full waiter service, etc. They have newspapers, coffee, and deliver. Food is adequate, although some dishes are better than others. Burgers are great, and they offer daily lunch specials for $11. My favorite is Friday's "Churrasco w/ french fries" lunch special. Cons: Way way way WAY too expensive. When you walk in you feel like you're in a very fancy "7 eleven". But the prices are anything like what you'd actually find at a 7 eleven. Outrageous prices. Sometimes when I arrive to work in the morning I'm craving a small breakfast and even something as simple as a plain bagel w/ cream cheese will run me $4 bucks. Come on. Also, the service here sucks. Sorry. On occasion one of the people behind the counter will be semi-friendly, some more than others, but for the most part they look irritated and annoyed all day. Bummer. So to summarize: I sort of, kind of, recommend Santa Fe if you're at the Shops and need a quick coffee or magazine or just want to do a little people watching. It serves its purpose but could use much improvement.

Bal Harbour has so many deluxe wares and restaurants to offer that one would think it is impossible to grab a quick affordable snack. My friend and I were lured into this shop when we took a gander at various patrons' sandwiches. Offering coffee drinks to sandwiches to pizzas, this place is a tasty affordable place to grab a snack. The service was efficient, helpful and attentive. I had a tuna salad sandwich with french fries that hit the spot. Of course the split of California Sparkling Wine coudl have helped as well. This place offers quick service inside at the counter as well as tables outside where one can watch passers-by. FYI: They will also validate parking.

I just had breakfast at the Santa Fe News & Espresso and quite frankly I wasn't that impressed. I ordered the Huevos rancheros and ended up getting an pretty uninspired overcooked pair of poached eggs swimming in a ocean of watery salsa hemmed in with a four pieces of dry white toast. While this might be the perfect meal for Elwood Blues it didn't quite make the grade for me. The only redeeming factor to my breakfast was the coffee. It is was quite good. I suggest you pop in for a coffee and skip the breakfast.

My parents, wife, son and I stopped here for a quick snack and some drinks late afternoon. I had a smoothie and they had hot chocolate on a rainy day. The HC was excellent and my berry smoothie was a great refresher. A bakery with a good selection of pastries and sandwiches looked good. A good place to stop for a quick snack or meal.
